💡Tip for the first game
Don't keep too many cards hidden throughout the game. The more cards you have visible, the more strategic choices you'll have.
Quick and easy setup
To start the game,
- Shuffle all the cards and deal 12 to each player, face down.
- Each player places their 12 cards in 3 rows of 4, face down in front of them.
Players turn over 2 cards of their choice to show them. - Place the remaining cards face down to form the draw pile, and turn over the first card to create the discard pile.
The game can begin: the first player is the one whose 2 cards have the highest sum.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there another rule point that needs clarification?
Who will start playing?
At the beginning, you each turned over two cards at random. Add up the values of these two cards and the one with the highest value goes first.
When does the game end?
When a player has reached 100 points.
The one with the fewest points at that moment wins.
When does the round end?
When a player has turned over all their cards and has none left visible.
Warning: if he does not have the fewest points among all players, his score for the round will be multiplied by 2.
What happens when I make a Skyjo?
When you make a skyjo, you place the 3 cards from this column onto the discard pile. They will then cover the card you had just discarded.
Can a Skyjo be made with rows instead of columns?
No. A Skyjo consists of only 3 cards, arranged in a column.
