💡Tip for the first game

  • Minimize the gaps as much as possible
  • Pay attention (even when it's not your turn)
  • Shout "CABANGA" to avoid any misunderstanding.

Quick and easy setup

To start the game,

  • Place the 4 Row cards in a vertical line in the middle of the table.
  • Next, shuffle the 8 starting cards.
  • Place one starting card to the left and right of each Row card. Each starting card will form the beginning of one of the two discard piles of that color.
  • Shuffle all the Number cards and deal 8 to each person. Keep them hidden in your hand.
  • The remaining Number cards will become a face-down penalty pile accessible to all above the Row cards.

You're ready to play!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there another rule point that needs clarification?

When does the game end?

The game ends when one person accumulates at least 18 negative points. The person with the fewest negative points wins! In case of a tie, you both win.

When does the round end?

A round ends when someone has no more cards in their hand at the end of their turn. This can happen by playing cards or discarding them.

What if several of us shout Cabanga?

When several players shout "Cabanga," do this:

  • For each card that is thrown to you, you must draw a card from the penalty pile and add it to your hand.
  • Do not place the cards that have been dealt to you into your hand, but set them aside to form a discard pile.

A map is missing for the setup.

Take a Number card and place it in place of the missing registration card. The color of this card must match the color of the corresponding Row card.

What happens if I play in the same color as the previous player?

If you play the same color as the person before you, you must then draw a card from the penalty pile.

The penalty pile is exhausted. What to do?

If the penalty pile is exhausted, shuffle all the cards from the discard pile and place them face down to form a new penalty pile.
